Professional Development: Instructional Technology

Story image 1

An apple a day ... Tracy Piepho and Tina Bulleigh, USD 240 I-TEAM, joke around after receiving the award.

USD 240 I-TEAM Recognized

by Dr. Becky Cheney and Linda Loder

May 15, 2007

The Twin Valley Instructional Integration of Technology staff (I-TEAM) is in charge of teaching the staff at Twin Valley Schools the use of technology in cross curricular activities. The program's goal isn't just the use of the tools but rather a change in teaching strategies to assist and lead the students to take ownership of their own learning. The I-TEAM works with Mrs. Linda Loder, Smoky Hill Education Service Center, to deliver professional development and support to all of the teachers and staff at Twin Valley Schools. This group has also given several talks and presentations at the state level to advance this type of technology and learning, including MACE, USA, and KSDE. Congratulations to Tina Bulleigh, Tracy Piepho, and Misty Walker-Bradley, KNEA members of the I-TEAM, for their work and accomplishments in improving instructional strategies.  They were recognized for their leadership by UD 114 of the Kansas NEA and presented with the Instructional Advocacy Award on May 8, 2007.
