What’s to be found at a national technology conference? Lots of learning and team building, that’s what!
Linda Loder, Coordinator of Integrated Technology at SHESC, and the seven-member I-TEAM from USD 240 Twin Valley Schools, journeyed to Dallas last week to attend the NSBA T+L Conference. Hosted yearly by the National School Board Association, the Technology + Learning Conference offers high-quality professional development opportunities for teachers, administrators, school boards, and technology coordinators.
Team members from USD 240 are: Darrin Rodine, Kay Good, Tina Bulleigh, Tracy Piepho, Misty Bradley, Brandi McClure, and Kris Pilcher.
The team attended workshops about leadership, learning and teaching, professional practice, assessment, and much more. They also saw hands-on displays and attended vendor sessions about the latest in technology.
The highlight of the conference was, for us, the fact that Jana Hare and Kari Stubbs from AL*TEC - the Advanced Learning with Technology Education Consortium at the University of Kansas, featured USD 240's successful implementation of the SHESC Instructional Technology Integration Program as a model of success for the EETT Grant Program.
Listen to some of the I-TEAM reactions in our podcast! Thanks so much to the USD 240 administration and school board for the opportunity to expose their teacher leaders to this conference. I know the district will reap the rewards!
